This single ester testosterone compound represents one of the most important compounds ever made. Schiering, a German pharmaceutical company, first manufactured this in 1937 under the name Testoviron. Testosterone Propionate became the first commercially available testosterone product and up until the 1960s it pretty much dominated the medical community. No matter which form of Testosterone you prefer, it is important that every steroid cycle has testosterone as the base compound. This is not something to be taken lightly. The use of testosterone in every stack will enhance the benefits of other compounds and help to alleviate some of the issues that many users neglect to recognize down the road.
Testosterone Propionate lost a bit of popularity because of the larger ester based compounds known as Testosterone Cypionate and Testosterone Enanthate. It was a steroid still used in the medical field as well as in performance enhancement circles.
Bodybuilders and athletes are said to prefer Propionate over Cypionate and Enanthate because it leads to less water retention. This is very important when considering what steroids to use in a cutting cycle. Others don’t believe this to be true as far as which form leads to water retention in the body. All in all, users will experience the same benefits when choosing Propionate, Cypionate or Enanthate in a cycle.
One advantage of Testosterone Propionate is that it’s easier to maintain stable and peaked blood levels of the hormone because of the need for frequent injections. This steroid was previously approved by the FDA to treat both men and women with medical issues and diseases. Unfortunately, it has since testogel for women been banned for female use but is still approved to treat men with medical conditions.
Testosterone Propionate is the dominant form in the bodybuilding and fitness industry. It is crucial to use exogenous testosterone as the base of any steroid cycle. Experienced steroid users know how important this compound is; however, novice steroid users may think they can get away with a solo cycle of any steroid without using testosterone. By doing so, it can only hurt the individual in the long run.
Now that you have a general idea of what Testosterone Propionate is, it’s time to talk about cycling with this versatile steroid.
Testosterone Solo Cycles
Testosterone Propionate can be used in cycles ranging from eight to ten weeks or as little as six weeks. The kick-in period for this steroid usually occurs two-four weeks into the cycle for most users.
Beginner and Intermediate level steroid users can enjoy a ten week solo cycle of Testosterone Propionate and see good results. This can be used as a bulking or lean mass cycle (depending on the goal of the user). We have outlined the cycle below:
Week | Testosterone Propionate |
1 | 300-500mg per week |
2 | 300-500mg per week |
3 | 300-500mg per week |
4 | 300-500mg per week |
5 | 300-500mg per week |
6 | 300-500mg per week |
7 | 300-500mg per week |
8 | 300-500mg per week |
9 | 300-500mg per week |
10 | 300-500mg per week |
Every first-time steroid user should consider this cycle. Testosterone is considered the safest steroid and cycling with this compound will allow the user to assess his/her tolerance to a steroid.
Those who are more experienced with the use of steroids can still benefit from a solo cycle of Testosterone Propionate. The cycle below runs eight weeks in length.
Week | Testosterone Propionate |
1 | 500-750mg per week |
2 | 500-750mg per week |
3 | 500-750mg per week |
4 | 500-750mg per week |
5 | 500-750mg per week |
6 | 500-750mg per week |
7 | 500-750mg per week |
8 | 500-750mg per week |
The above cycle will promote muscle growth when used for bulking or during the off-season when the individual will consume more calories in order to feed the muscles for maximum growth.
Test Prop Cycles Benefits
This steroid is known to treat men with low testosterone levels. In addition to allowing the individual to feel better from this treatment, Testosterone Propionate is extremely beneficial when used by bodybuilders, athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Cycles of Testosterone Propionate will provide the following benefits to the user: enhanced protein synthesis which allows the growth of muscle tissue in addition to a quicker recovery from intense training, enhanced nitrogen retention resulting in the body remaining anabolic rather than catabolic, an increase in the body’s red blood cell count allowing for more oxygen to flow in the body, and the inhibition of the glucocorticoid or stress hormone.

High-Quality Testosterone Propionate for saleThe user will benefit from Testosterone Propionate when used for cutting or bulking; however, it is very important to eat and train according to your end goal. Cutting cycles will require the user to consume a calorie-restricted diet while training and injecting Test Prop while bulking cycles will require more calories to be consumed.
Post Cycle Therapy
Post Cycle Therapy or PCT is an essential process that people go through once they’ve finished a cycle of steroids. The objective is to get their body back to its normal state so it can start naturally producing hormones again. Once a run of steroids is over, a user will start their post-cycle therapy.
PCT is essential to prevent long-term impairment of testosterone production in the body. Without PCT, testosterone levels may never return to normal and replacement therapy may be required permanently.
Some may start PCT as early as two or three days after the last pill or injection is taken. Start times are not set in stone and will vary from person to person depending on the length of the cycle and what steroids were taken at what dosages. Obviously, with a longer cycle, you’ll need a longer recovery period of PCT. Post Cycle Therapy after a Testosterone Propionate solo cycle should start as soon as five days after the cycle ends.
PCT uses either Clomid or Nolvadex although some individuals will use both during this time. Clomid and Nolvadex both come with side effects that may include headaches, nausea and upset stomach. These side effects will vary from person to person depending on his/her tolerance level. Whether choosing one over the other or choosing to use both for PCT, it’s common to start with higher doses of both drugs and taper the dosage down until PCT comes to an end. Not all steroid users start or end with the same dosage of either Clomid or Nolvadex. The dose can range from 10-50mg per day or even higher. The important thing to consider is what works for you, not what works for the guy at the gym lifting next to you.
Clomid doses are typically 50mg per day while Nolvadex doses are 40mg per day for a period of four weeks. Some individuals will incorporate one or both of these drugs in their steroid cycle and continue PCT once the steroid cycle is complete. This is done on a case by case basis and depends on personal preference.
Some users will not run Post Cycle Therapy after completing a steroid cycle. This is not recommended for several reasons. The most important thing to keep in your mind is that mentally you need to get through the struggle of feeling not so great during PCT. This is common. But skipping PCT and jumping right into your next steroid cycle might set you back in terms of your long term goals. You have the power to change your body. Do it the right way.
What to Expect from PCT
Don’t expect to hit the gym as viciously when you are off your steroid cycle and running post cycle therapy. Gains will not be lost when you come off the cycle. Individuals may feel tired or not so pumped up to workout but that is only natural. Keeping a positive mindset when running post cycle therapy is essential. Remember, this is the time your body needs to regroup and recharge for the next steroid cycle. Time off allows both your body and mind to strategically create your next cycle, plan it out and crush your goals towards the body you work hard for.
Conclusion
Testosterone Propionate, or Test Prop, is extremely popular and common in the world of fitness and bodybuilding. In fact, most, if not all those who have cycled with steroids for a majority of their lives, will use Test Prop in a cycle. This steroid is responsible for the overall well being of those who suffer from low testosterone levels. Using Test Prop as a base steroid in every cycle will only make the other compounds work that much better.
Of course this steroid comes with the risk of negative side effects. But in all honesty, is there anything is today’s world that doesn’t come with a downside or disadvantage? We can’t think of any!
Both men and women can use this steroid although we know that steroid use by females is not something that a lot of individuals like to talk about. There are female athletes and bodybuilders who train just as hard, if not harder, than men and want the same thing out of a workout. It’s not uncommon today to talk to many women who cycle with steroids. Whether Test Prop is used for cutting or bulking by men or women, it’s a decision which only they can make. You should be concerned about your own personal goal. Be smart, train hard and eat clean.

This is interesting…my wife wants to use Test Propionate. Anyone care to help?
My wife has been into bodybuilding naturally for quite some time now. Today, she shocked me by asking if she could try some Test Propionate. Can she? What would be the optimal dose for a woman?
Women and Test Propionate aren’t very common but there are a few women that actually get good results from a Test Prop cycle. Let her run a short 6 week cycle at around 50mg/week. That’s just enough to see how she reacts and to get a bit of gains with her training. Hopefully she doesn’t have to deal with PIP
How often does one need to inject Test- Prop in order to get the most from it?
We recommend injecting the Propionate ester every other day (eod) due to the ester having short half-life.
Seems like some guys believe in getting blood work done when running steroid cycles and other guys don’t even bother. I’d rather be safe than sorry. What’s the general rule, if there is one, about getting blood work done?
Always get blood work done before you start any cycle to gauge your levels. Typically I do it three times, before, mid-way through the cycle and at the end. Most will tell you it’s not necessary to do it this often but I would until you really know your body and how you feel during and after a cycle. There is no rule but it’s for your overall health.
I would like to know how long does it takes until you reach your ideal peak and you can tell that you are perfectly fine along the way.
It’s already been 3 months since my cycle and I was prescribed by my physician with 200mg dose each week using Testosterone Propionate. The first 3 weeks were kinda hard but everything went well as time goes by, maybe it was because my body has adjusted to its normal hormonal level. And I can feel that it has started to kick in and feeling normal in my 4th week.
